Dear Friend,

The City of Tallahassee will be celebrating its 200th birthday in March 2024. As your Mayor, I am organizing a Mayor’s Bicentennial Ball to celebrate this once-in-a- lifetime occasion. With this event, we will be raising money for the support organization for one of my favorite success stories within the City of Tallahassee family, the TEMPO Program. The Mayor’s Bicentennial Ball will be a fundraiser benefiting the Tempo Foundation, Inc., a 501-c-3 organization formed to support the TEMPO Program.

The Mayor’s Bicentennial Ball will be a top-shelf formal event where we celebrate the City’s 200 years of history and the City’s exciting future, on Saturday, March 2, 2024, 7PM, at the FSU Union Ballroom. We will have dinner, libations, and wonderful entertainment, with our very own Tallahassee Nights Live! band. You will want to be a part of this unique, important, once-in-a-lifetime event. The TEMPO Program is a program for youth aged 16-24 who have had contact with the law enforcement system; TEMPO puts those young people on a path to life success. The program includes a GED program for most participants (and sometimes even their parents!) as well as vocational training, life skills, financial management, and other training. Focusing on those at a crossroads in our community, the program provides connections and a meaningful opportunity for success. The program has had astonishing success in its five years so far, and is on a trajectory to continue to grow and succeed.

Your donation is tax-deductible; the tax exempt number is 87-2694168. Thank you for your support of one of Mayor Dailey's favorite City of Tallahassee successes stories!

Best regards,

Mayor John E. Dailey
